About The Event
Skills training workshop for psychologists who work with children.
Sensory integration (SI) is generally described as a neurological process that reflects an individual’s ability to organize internal and environmental sensations to regulate and function efficiently in the environment
Sensory Integration is the way human brains interpret and organize information from the senses and allows people to use that information to function in their world. One cannot see sensory integration being observed as it is taking place in the brain. Instead, we can only look at the product or outcome, which is the behavior a person exhibits as he/she is integrating or organizing sensory input from the environment.Â
According to SI theory, behavior and learning are optimized when input from these senses are being effectively organized by the brain.
To understand how these senses integrate and optimize behavior, we are organizing a skills training workshop for psychologists working with children on the relationship between sensory integration and behavior by Dr Snehal Deshpande.
By Dr Snehal Deshpande, Neonatal and developmental therapist. Sensory integration Certified.Â
