6 months training Structure

Congratulations on choosing our 6 months intensive training program. The entire program structure is aimed at providing hands on experience to to the participants. There will be a good mix of theoretical learnings, practice sessions, observation sessions & field work. During the entire course, you will be given number of compulsory assignments that you have to submit before the completion of your course.

Our focus is going to be on two main therapies namely Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) & Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). Both the therapies are proved to be highly effective in vast number of mental health issues and they have a strong evidence base to prove that.

Time: Reporting on 1st March at 1130 am

Days (4 days a week):- Tue., Wed., Thurs., Fri.

Time- 12 pm to 4 pm

Accommodation and food: The interns have to arrange for their accommodation and food in case they are travelling to the training center for the training.

BA or any graduation in Psychology, Social work, Nursing, Medicine, alternative medicine including Homeopathy, Ayurveda. Participants must have completed their graduation before they sign up for the program. Participants who have completed post graduation in Psychology, psychiatry, social work or Nursing are also eligible and preferred.

Here is a week-wise schedule of your program:-

Week 1 (1st March to 8th March)

This week, we will focus on basic theory of REBT.; it’s philosophy & structure. You will be given number of demo sessions to see the flow of REBT. Along with it, you will also get to practice with your peers and get your therapy supervised.

Week 2 (9th March to 16th March)

This week is for CBT. Here too, you will learn the structure of CBT, get to observe the demos and also supervision & practice.

Week 3 ( 17th March to 23rd March)

Application of CBT/REBT in Depression & Anxiety along with practice sessions.

History taking, case conceptualisation

Week 4 (24th March to 31st March)

Application of REBT with Children & Adolescents.

Application of RECBT with Personality Disorders

Dealing with resistant clients.

Practice sessions

The above mentioned time and days is for one month only. slowly the lecture hours will be reduced and field duration will be increased.
